In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Neha Joneja, Mortgage Agent Level 2, carrying on business through Mortgage Assurance Inc., FSRA Brokerage Licence #13812, Independently Owned and Operated. “You” means anyone who visits mortgagesbyneha.com or contacts us. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

What information do we collect?

  • Form information: your name, phone number, email address, preferred language, the service you’re interested in, and anything you type into a contact, booking or checklist form.
  • Calculator inputs: you don’t need to give your name to use the calculators. If you ask us to send or review your numbers, we keep the figures you share, such as purchase price, down payment and income.
  • Cookies and analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and similar tools to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, device type, approximate location and how you arrived. This data is used in aggregate.
  • Call and message records: the date, time and notes from phone calls, texts and emails with us.
  • Application information: if you go on to apply for a mortgage, we collect what lenders require, such as ID, income, employment, assets, debts, property details and, with your authorization, your credit report.

Why do we collect it?

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, book a consultation, assess which mortgage options may suit you, prepare and submit applications you approve, meet our legal and regulatory duties, and improve the website. We collect only what we need for these purposes.

How do we get your consent, and how do messages work?

By submitting a form, you consent to us using your information to respond to that request. Follow-up messages, such as renewal reminders or newsletters, are sent only if you tick the express consent checkbox on our forms, or where CASL otherwise permits. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time, reply STOP to a text, or simply contact us. You may withdraw consent to other uses at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits; we’ll explain how that affects what we can do for you.

Who do we share it with?

  • Mortgage Assurance Inc., the brokerage Neha works through, for supervision, compliance and record-keeping.
  • Lenders, mortgage default insurers and credit bureaus, only with your consent and only for an application or renewal you approve.
  • Service providers who help us run the business, such as our CRM, email, website hosting, analytics and secure document tools. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Others where required by law, such as regulators (including FSRA), courts or law enforcement.

We do not sell your personal information.

Where is your information stored?

Some of our service providers store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held outside Canada may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities in that country.

How long do we keep it?

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above and for the period required by Ontario mortgage brokering record-keeping rules and other laws. After that, it is securely deleted or destroyed.

How do we protect it?

We use reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards, including password-protected accounts, encrypted connections, secure document upload through Neha’s mortgage app, and limited access on a need-to-know basis. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid emailing sensitive documents; use the secure app instead.

How can you access or correct your information?

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask how it has been used and shared, and ask us to correct anything inaccurate. We’ll respond within 30 days, and we may need to confirm your identity first.
